Race: The Power of Illusion I thought this documentary was fascinating, specifically referring to the DNA experiment. I have actually seen Race: The Power of Illusion a couple of times previous to this, but I am more and more moved by this film each time I watch it. I love that the interviewees stress the fact that race is NOT biology. Race is an idea that we ascribe to biology. Race is also something humans have created; the definition of race has been changed throughout history to the benefit of those who want to define it differently. Genetically humans are not very different, but it is hard for people- people who have lived their whole lives being prejudice and discriminating against those of a different race or ethnicity- to understand that. These select people want to maintain superiority. They try so hard to distinguish racial differences and then attribute performance and behavior to them, such as intelligence or athletic ability. There is not a single body part that has not been analyzed in different experiments to try and prove that there is something genetically so
