The way I would explain web 2.0 to someone who has not taken a course on information systems is as follows, the term web 2.0 is commonly associated with web applications that facilitate interactive information sharing, interoperability, user centered design, and collaboration on the World Wide Web. A web 2.0 site allows its users to interact with each other as contributors to the websites content. Web 2.0 is an enhancement of the existing internet. Some of the advantages of web 2.0 are democrazation of media, relationships and conversations, blogs and blogging, and tagging some of the disadvantages

Web 2.0 has impacted business by, it is easier to search the World Wide Web with web 2.0, people can get all of the information they need from web 2.0, and more business use web 2.0 to expand their business and keep in touch with their employees.
