XMGT 216 week 4 due day 5 Jasmyne Carson In the case study the ethical dilemma was that the big oil company did not want Julie as the team leader of their company. The reason they did not want Julie to be the team leader was because of cultural differences. In Saudi Arabia women are to be seen and not heard. It is part of their culture. So the real dilemma is that if they keep Julie as the team leader the company secure bank might lose the big oil contract. If secure bank changes team leaders to a male employee

If I was Julies manager I would first politely ask Julie if she would not mind stepping down as the team leader and if she said that she would not step down then I would honestly risk losing the contract with big oil. The reason I say that is because even though we may have cultural differences I would not put my employee in an awkward position especially when she was the perfect person for the job....
