Blackbaud eTapestry, a solution of Blackbaud, is an online donor management and fundraising software, exclusively sold to non-profit (501c3) organizations. I am a Regional Account Executive for the states of Arizona, New Jersey, and New York. My primary job is to position and sell eTapestry as an online solution for all of their fundraising needs. eTapesty is a SaaS solution (software as a service) since it is not installed and online available online and as a mobile application. Skill variety, task identity, and task significance are three core job characteristics. In the eTapestry Sales Department, these are three characteristics that employees must exhibit. Skill variety is a part of the job description of an account executive, although our primary job is to sell, we do a number of other tasks at well. Our skill set must include, travel, public speaking, keeping abreast changes in the non-profit world, and knowing about fundraising and why a non-profit would utilize the eTapestry solution. The fact that my position is multi-faceted makes it far more interesting than most typical sales roles. I enjoy speaking to clients and also traveling around the country for speaking engagements. Task identity is another significant approach that we utilize in the Sales Department. For example, we utilize a sales process which we must follow with each
