Ron Francois 11/14/08 Chapt 13 Pg 356 1) The three parts of the marketing concept are: 1) a customer orientation, 2) a service orientation, and, 3) a profit orientation (that is, market those goods and services that will earn the firm a profit and enable it to survive and expand to serve more customer wants and needs). 2) The four P s of the marketing mix is: 1) Product, 2) Price, 3) Place, 4) Promotion. Pg 362 1) The Marketing Research Process consist of at least four keys steps: 1) Defining the question (problem or opportunity) and determining the present situation. 2) Collecting data. 3) Analyzing the research data. 4) Choosing the best solution and implementing it. 2) Environmental scanning is the process of identifying the factors that can affect marketing success. 3) The consumer market consists of all the individuals or households that want goods and services for personal consumption or use and have the resources to buy them.
