Forrest Baird, ed.and various handouts Assignments: Attendance/Participation(10%): Because philosophy demands a thorough discussion and critique of ideas, attendance and participation are important to this course. Attendance will be taken every class. You are excused no more than 4 absences. Reaction Papers (20%): These are 2 paged double-spaced papers assigned throughout the semester. By simply doing the assignment as instructed, you receive credit. These papers consist of: a) explain an issue/concept of one of the philosophers weve discussed, b) react to respond to the point.
