(2) Down load the rig inventory for Pioneer Drilling Co. rig number 1 (www.pioneerdrlg.com). (a) Determine the maximum hook load if the heaviest casing load will be 5000’ of 36 ppf, 9 5/8” casing – with a 50% safety factor (add 50%). (b) The maximum pump flow rate must be 330 gal/min at 3,000 psi of pump discharge pressure per pump (see the pump specification table). (c) Determine the weight of 8,000’ of 4.5”, 16.6 ppf drill pipe and 540’ of 6.875” OD x 2.5” ID drill collars. This pipe weight will be stood back in the derrick and supported by the rig floor and substructure during trips. (d) In an emergency, the maximum shut in pressure expected - at the surface – is
