What is the “Flores Hominid”? -“Flores Hominid” is a hominid that may have existed until 18,000 years ago. However, many scientists suggest from the available evidence that “Flores Hominid” could have been living anywhere from 95,000 to 13,000 years ago. They are relatively short (about 1m, similar to “Lucy”), and their brain size is very small (380cc). They are bipedal, but the fact that they don’t have foot arc, it is suggested that “Flores Hominds” had harder time walking than today’s human. Where was it found? - They were found on the island of Flores in Indonesia in 2003. Seven remains were found at the cave of Liang Bua, with some stone tools which were suggested to be associated with them. The remains were not completely fossilized.
