Samui Airport, the only regional airport on the list, has been voted the top ten  airports worldwide  for the sixth consecutive year obtaining 9th in ranking. The  airport serves up to approximately 1.5 million passengers and more than  20,000 flights per year with scheduled services by Bangkok Airways, Thai  Airways International, Firefly, Berjaya Air and SilkAir (from 27 September  onwards). Samui Airport serves domestic and international direct flights to  and from Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi, Chiang Mai, Pattaya (U-Tapao), Trat,  Singapore, Hong Kong, Penang, and Kuala Lumpur.  The SmartTravelAsia.com 2011 Best in Travel Poll, now in its seventh year, is
