Well, athletes like basketball players or even ballet dancers are gifted by this great jumping abilities, when they leap up and hang in the air, they seemed to defy gravity and this can be explained by Physics. This illusion when a basketball player leaps and stays in the air it is called the hang time. If we asked some friends to estimate the hang time of a well known basketball player they will say maybe a time greater than one second but what the didn’t know is that hang time is just an illusion and it will really only lasts for one second or less.
