Analysis The results of the experiment show that the value of acceleration decreases as the net force decreases. It also shows that there is a minimum error between the accepted and experimental values of less than 5%, which shows that the results are accurate. Moreover, results show that the acceleration decreases as the mass of the cart increases. It then, shows that the error is less than 5% showing accuracy. This test also shows that the time increases along with the decrease of acceleration following the principles of kinematics. In addition, Newton’s second law is followed only when the tension of the string pulling the cart is equal to the tension pulling the mass or the pan, thus assuming the two to be equal might be a possible cause of error.
