Space, Place and Location Extra Credit Optional Extra Credit Assignment Attend one of the events listed below. Arrive early and sign in with a TA in order to be able to submit a short essay on one of the events. One of the TA’s will be at each event with a clipboard and sign-in sheet. You must arrive early and sign in with a TA in order to turn in the extra credit assignment. In order to get full points, you must adhere to the following format: • Two pages (typed, double-spaced, 12 point font, one inch margins) • The first part of the paper should be a summary of the event and the main points made by the speaker or speakers. • The majority of the paper should include your analysis of the event. This portion should offer a critical assessment of, and engagement with, ideas or issues raised at the event. Consider discussing what you learned from the event as a starting point for analysis. Another option is to discuss whether you agree or disagree with the points made, and why. • Only the best papers that meet all of the criteria above will receive full points.
