We will make two-dimensional filters and do all our processing in discrete-space . Low-Pass Filtering Images Impulse Response Let H ( e jμn ,e jνm ) be define as below. Find the corresponding impulse response, h [ n,m ]. H ( e jμn ,e jνm ) = 1 | μ | < μ , | ν | < ν 0 otherwise Based on your expression, create a function with syntax h = make lpf(n,m,mu0,nu0) to create the desired impulse response for a specified μ and ν . Note that you will need to handle the special cases of n = 0 and m = 0 separately to prevent getting NaN’s in your output for h . Test this function by letting n and m range from -10 to 10 (Hint: use meshgrid ) and then use the surf command to give a three-dimensional picture of the impulse response.
