Crystal Lambert  ENC1101 My first experience with the death of a loved one or family member was very hard  on me.  I was 15 at the time.  I lost my best friend to domestic violence.  I sometimes  blame myself because I did not interfere to help her before the physical abuse started. I was sitting at home on a school night doing homework(,) and getting ready to  go to bed.  My phone started ringing at about 9:30.  it was a phone call that I would  never wish for anyone to receive.  It was Kirsten's roommate calling to tell me that I  needed to get the their house as quick(ly) as possible.  I hung up(,) and made another  phone call.  Five minutes later my friend Mike was in my driveway.  There were cops  everywhere once I got there.  They were interviewing neighbors(,) and her roommate.  I  jumped out of the car(,) and went running (in)to the house.  I found her roommate(,) and  began asking him what happen.  He told me that(you don’t really need the “) "Kirsten  had been rushed to the hospital in an ambulance(,) and that he saw Brent running out of  the house."  I ran back out of the house(,) and went to the hospital.
