Perform the following tasks assuming water temperature of 10 C. a) Determine the discharge capacity (Q) of the new pipe. b) Confirm that the correct flow range was used for the new pipe calculations. c) What is the discharge capacity (Q) of the old pipe? d) Calculate and compare friction factors for the old and new pipes. Summarize the relationship between friction factors, pipe roughness, and flow. e) What are the characteristic P L values of the old and new pipe? Problem 2
