James Yang Shepard Fairey, who created the poster “Hope” for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign has come out and  admitted that he lied about which photograph the poster was actually based off.  Above that, he admitted that  he attempted to cover up the evidence to substantiate his lie.  He was previously battling the Associated Press  in court about whose copyright the photo belonged to.  Mr. Fairey stated that he used the photograph of  Obama taken during a Darfur convention in 2006, and attempted to destroy any evidence and created false
