The first research question can be “Will number of employees influence the company’s willingness to export?” Hypothesis in words: The companies with large number of employees are more willing to export. Explanation: We can divide the number of employees into two groups by sort ascending this column, so the first group consists of 64 companies which have 43 to 69 employees, and another group of companies have 27 to 42 employees. Thus we can compare the mean of willingness to export between two groups with small and large employee number and draw the conclusion. 2. The second research issue can be “Does firm’s revenue has impact on the company’s willingness to export?” Hypothesis in words: The higher a firm’s revenue is, the bigger its willingness to export is. Explanation: We can divide all the companies into two groups. The first group has 67 companies whose revenue ranges from 0.8 to 1.5, while the second group has 53 companies whose revenue ranges from 2.0 to 4.7. Thus we can compare the mean of each group of companies’ willingness to export and then know whether fail to reject the null hypothesis. Part B The research issue can be “Will the management experience in international operation influence the companies’ willingness to export?” The independent variable is management experience in international operation, and the dependent (test) variable is the willingness to export. Hypothesis in words: If a company has management experience in international operation, that company is more willing to export. Rationale: If a company has management experience in international operation, it would have networking and knowledge in some countries. They could know how to do business and build relationships with foreigners. Thus that company can estimate the risk more easily and are more willing to export overseas. Hypothesis in Symbols:
