James Yang Mr. Puma AP Composition 7/16/09 Separations Between Judaism and Christianity If any two religions are to be paired together, it would most likely be Judaism and Christianity. Comparing them is like comparing two people in the same family, with identical ancestors and many indistinguishable practices and beliefs. However, even common siblings will have radical differences and the one major incongruity that is touched on in The World’s Religion’s , is the belief on human nature. This significant difference can be ascribed why Christianity and Judaism are never described as a family even with the countless similarities. Reviewing their beliefs on human nature will reveal the area where Christianity and Judaism have the least common ground, and the importance of the belief will make any chances at resolving the dispute only a far reaching dream. While Jews see human nature in general as a combination of good and evil depending on the person, Christians tend to emphasize the sin and the malevolence that is present in humans
