CRS 325 Presentational Speaking Outline Shawn Perry The Wonders of Camping Purpose: To portray how fun camping really is to the audience. Thesis: Although camping may seem scary because you are out on your own in the wilderness, it is a very rewarding and fun activity. I. Introduction A. What would you say your last daring or interesting activity was? When can you say the last time you didn’t stay in your own bed was? When was the last time you made your meal over an actual fire instead of in a kinetic oven? When was the last time you completely felt at one with nature and marveled at its beauty? B. You can do all of these things in one simple and fun outing while simultaneously learning a lot about yourself that you didn’t know prior to it. C. Some of the healthiest people I have ever met have been outdoorsmen of all sorts and camping has been one of their favorite hobbies. People who always talk down about camping are time and time again the people who have never given it a chance. D. Although camping may seem scary because you are out on your own in the wilderness, it is a very rewarding and fun activity. E. Even though you may be wary about camping there are a vast amounts of activities you can do and skills you can learn during your time out. Furthermore, spending a weekend out in the wilderness with a couple of your closest friends will be a bonding experience that none of you will soon forget. II. Body
