The high temperature mechanical properties of the composite consisting of the filaments uniaxially aligned in polyimide and epoxy matrices were investigated at the temperature range from 423 K to 573 K. The Young's modulus of the composite (Ec) of the polyimide composite at temperatures up to 573 K was higher than that predicted by the linear function of the filament content (Vf) and the filaments fractured tightly in contact with the matrix.
