Brief Guide to Studying for Hourly #2 Exam Date: Monday, November 8th 12 NOON to 1:20 pm 1:30 – 2:30 pm – RECITATION Films: Review your notes on the issues explored in “At the River I Stand”, “Rosie the Riveter”, “Farmingville”, and “Walmart – The High Price of a Low Cost”. If didn’t sleep through these films you should have no problem. If you did sleep or missed class, find someone who didn’t. You can look at most of these films by arrangement at Media Services at the Douglass Library. You can be sure that one or several questions on each of these films will be on the exam. Terms: For sure, know the terms arising out of collective bargaining and out of contract administration. If you plan to take any more labor studies courses, you will need to be fluent in the use of these terms. You should know what is meant by outsourcing and the impact this has on workers.
