Unformatted text preview: Dusty Carroll September 15, 2010 Youth Sports Observation I observed the Clinton-Massie second grade youth football team that my nephew plays for. This youth football game was held at Blanchester High School; on September 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Blanchester is only about ten minutes away from my parents home, so I took my nephew over to the field at noon to be weighed in and for pre-game stretches and such. I could tell he was very nervous and excited at the same time. His little mind was going so fast, it seemed like he asked me every question possible and asked me if I would stay with him until the game started. My mom, sister and her husband all met me at the game about a quarter until 2:00p.m. My sister and brother in- law where also very excited for their son. I would say there were about 100 people in the stands watching the game. As I observed the team and my nephew, most of the players were interested in the crowd and their families other than paying attention to what was going on during the game. I believe this is due to the age of the children and the lack of their competitiveness. The coaches defiantly had their hands full with all the players on the side lines. From knowing where the kids was supposed to be at and who was playing where. I cant tell knowing where the kids was supposed to be at and who was playing where....
