Unformatted text preview: 2. There are many consequences to teachers neglecting to teach evolution to their students. For one, teachers are sending a message to their students that nothing is certain in science. Teachers are telling their students, by not teaching evolution, that they can pick and choose what is a fact. If teachers do not teach evolution, then it justifies any teacher, of any subject, neglecting to teach subjects they dont believe it. Science teachers not teaching evolution would be the equivalent of a history teacher not teaching about September 11 th because they thought it was a conspiracy. This also puts the legitimacy of the scientific process in jeopardy. Because evolution has been tested using the scientific process, if a teacher does not recognize the results then he/she is also not recognizing the scientific process. 3. Yes it crucial to young students that they learn about evolutionary theory for a couple of reasons. Evolution is a scientifically proven fact just like anything else that kids learn in school. reasons....
