Women have different skill sets. o Ex. Nurturing = conflict resolution o Ex. More social interactions = better group decision making Hypothesis: if more women were in IR there would be different outcomes,  such as more cooperation  II. Liberal Feminism No real social difference between women and men Women are excluded from leadership, which is bad. More women must  emerge in IR since… Hypothesis: Women would behave similar to men in positions of power III. Post-modern Feminism  Similar to difference feminists: there are important differences between men  and women. Differs in belief that those differences are fixed they change over time  because the are all socially constructed Ex: Margaret Thatcher – leader of great power  Ex: Golda Mier –foreign minister of Israel, soon after became prime minister,  involved in war and behaved no differently that any other leader  IV. Issues #1: Public Opinion and War Gender gap: nearly  all  public opinion polls find gaps between women and  men in their support for waging war.
