After all, that's the real purpos e behind better manag ement of our time: to find time to do what ou want to do. You can als o g et a free calendar to do this by g oing to this webs ite: http://www.printablecalendar.ca P h as e I Cons id er your Goals Beg in with this s imple ex ercis e. S pend two minutes think ing about your g oals : immediate, s hort rang e and long term. W here are you headed in life? W hat do you want out of life? W hat do you hope to accomplis h in the nex t month, year, fiv e years , 10 years , 25 years , your lifetime? T hen tak e a s heet of paper and for two minutes write down your g oals . T here's probably s omething on that lis t which you'v e been s aying for a long time that you're g oing to do: learn to play g olf or play bridg e; los e 10 pounds , trace your family tree, finis h your colleg e deg ree (or s tart it), actually do the macram you learned s o long ag o but can't s eem to fit into your s chedule now. R ig ht no is the time to promis e yours elf you'll do it--whatev er that " it" is on your lis t. You jus t made a lis t of g oals which you feel are important rig ht now. If you had made s uch a lis t a year ag o, it probably would not be identical to this . And if you mak e a g oals lis t a year from now, it won't be identical to your pres ent lis t. S ince people and their s ituations and circums tances chang e, their g oals chang e, als o. S o ex pect to rev is e your s tatement of g oals occas ionally. It's only natural. W ith your lis t of g oals in hand, you're now ready for the nex t s tep. Pick one or two of the g oals you're really s erious about. T ak e another s heet of paper, write that g oal at the top and s pend two minutes writing down what s pecific thing s you can do to reach your g oal.
