Kathryn Beddow ENC 1102-Crombie EXP4 December 5, 2011 Violence in Animal “Rights” Alex Epstein and Yaron Brook worked side by side to write “The Evil of Animal ‘Rights’” in an attempt to bring about a compromise on using small animals, primarily rats and mice, in emerging medical procedures and medications. Epstein and Brook’s writing details the view points of those striving to preserve all animals and their rights, but sheds light on what will happen if all mankind puts saving all of animal-kind first. Many feel that all animal testing should be banned and animals viewed as equals to mankind, while others see that forgoing animal food sources and their use in the medical field, mankind would be greatly affected. For instance, many extremist want all animal testing to be ended, and even all animals used for food to be “freed” and other food sources be used. Furthermore, the radical acts that some are willing to commit are too much, and should be limited with stricter repercussions enforced. Points such as these are clear in Epstein’s essay,
