HPEB 502: APPLIED ASPECTS OF HUMAN NUTRITION S TUDY G UIDE FOR F INAL E XAM – F ALL 2011 Dr. Kara Montgomery The final exam includes primarily the textbook units covered in class since our third test: Chapters 10 & 12-16. Questions on the exam may be based on the films seen in class ( FAT: What No One Is Telling Us , The World According to Monsanto ); items posted on Blackboard. The exam is worth 200 points and consists of multiple choice questions, true/false questions, fill-in-the blank questions (completion), and short answer questions. The exam will also include some situations/case studies that will ask you to apply the knowledge of nutrition you have learned this semester. Remember that the following are just guidelines; additional material may be on the exam, including any documents posted to Blackboard since the second test! Cumulative Aspects: • Knowledge of concepts related to nutrient classes (carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, water) and alcohol • Working knowledge of MyPyramid.gov and the
