Includes lectures and audiovisual techniques. Lectures: trainers communicate through spoken words what they want the trainees to learn. Learned capabilities is primarily one way.-trainer to audience. Audiovisual instructions: overheads, slides, and video. Videos is mostly used. Used for improving communication skills, interviewing skills, and customer service skills ad for illustrating how procedures should be followed. Problems: result from the creative approach used. Include too much content to learn. Poor dialogue between actors which hinders credibility and clarity. Overuse of humor or music and drama. Hands on Methods: active involvement. On job training, simulations, case studies, business games, role plays and behavior modeling. On the Job Training (OJT): new or inexperienced employees learning in the setting. During work
