1) Design and construct the circuit in figure 1: Choose values of the resistors and supply voltages so that with no input to the circuit each collector is at approximately half the positive supply voltage. What are the values of the resistors and supply voltages? Rc1=Rc2=4.7kΩ, Rb1=Rb2=10kΩ, Re=4.7kΩ, V+=10V, V-=-10V. Measure the dc voltages at points A, B, and C. A=-0.7276V, B=4.763V, C=6.142V. Apply a small sinusoidal signal to input 1 but not to input 2. What relationship do the waveforms at B and C have to the input? We input a 60mVp-p sine wave and the output at B was a 1.92Vp-p inverted sine wave and the output at C was a 1.85Vp-p sine wave as shown below. In summary the waveform at B is the inverse of the input and the waveform at C is the same as the input.
Measure the differential gain from the input to point C. Differential gain=Vc/Vin. We measured 8.054VAC.
