[ ] Put your name, phone number, and e-mail address on the front cover. [ ] Put the problem statement near the beginning of the notebook. [ ] Leave the first page blank for the table of contents. [ ] Write in your team members’ names, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses. [ ] Sign each page. [ ] Date each entry. [ ] Retain extra documents by taping or stapling them into the design notebook. If documents are too big to insert (patents, deliverables, etc.), note what they contain and where they can be found. [ ] Make entries readable by other engineers. Content: [ ] Record sketches, calculations, brainstorms, etc. [ ] Include scratch work, but indicate that it is scratch work and try to clean it up later. [ ] Include work on all topics which may be presented in future written reports.
