Not even the Targum. 7.Sleep elsewhere. 8.Silence and stow your cell phone. 9.Do not read or send text messages during class. 10.Do not use a laptop during class. What Is Politics? Politics is the subset of human behavior that involves the use of power or influence. Power is involved when people cant accomplish their goals without: Trying to influence the behavior of others. Trying to escape the influence of others. What Is Politics? Albert Hirschman, Exit, Voice, and Loyalty: Responses to Decline in Firms, Organizations, and States , 1970 What do you do when some aspect of your environment changes for the worse? Responses to fall in quality Employees, customers, citizens, members have two possible responses to a decrease in quality or benefit to the member: Exit : withdraw from the relationship Voice : attempt to repair or improve the relationship through communication Increasing political repression? Emigrate? Protest? Employees can quit unpleasant jobs or express their concerns in an effort to improve matters.
