Soltow November 3, 2010 American Intercontinental University In terms of creating a timeline, what is meant by the critical path of a PERT chart? The Critical Path is the longest possible continuous pathway taken from the initial event to the terminal event. It establishes the entire schedule time required for the development and any instance delays along the critical path will setback the reaching of the workstation event by at least an equal amount. How would the manager go about prioritizing correction of the problem existing in B, C, or D Well being that step B is a part of the original critical path, as a manager I would have to assign first priority to the correction of it first, given that it should not lose priority in the event of new found problems. Next, whichever step, C or D, involved lack of people, that would be my first priority, because with out the labor as a manager I am incapable of delegating any work whether it be involving materials or equipment.
