To Whom It May Concern: What would the advantages and disadvantages of the system be? The main advantage would obviously be the ability to use the competitive intelligence to compare ourselves to other organizations in our market in order to better identify any risks and most certainly entertain any opportunities. This would enable us to make informed decisions, so long as we are capable of realizing the importance of perceiving what it is our competitors are doing and how it may be that our industry is fluctuating. There are also many advantages that come as a focus upon the longer term, such as analyzing the issues affecting our competitiveness over the course of various years. This involves the identification of weak signals and various methodologies outlining strategic early warning signs. With these practices, our organization can benefit by avoiding
