Program Capstone Unit 5 Discussion Board Kregg M. Soltow December 8, 2011 American Intercontinental University Speaking from any type of development perception, every repeated cycle of involvement in a project furthermore presents a growth of functionality. Therefore, the following of each cycle relates to a specific marker where the individuals involved in the project can reveal to those invested that the intentions for that particular cycle have been accomplished. Now, from the investors or management’s viewpoint, the overall cycle is categorized ultimately into 4 chronological segments, each of which being accomplished by the representation of a milestone. Moreover, these 4 milestones offer estimation conditions at the finalization of each of the segments: Those of course being; Inception, Elaboration, Construction and Transition. Concluding with the transition segment is the fourth milestone, that which being the release milestone. This is the time it is decided whether or not the intentions were succeeded and whether or not to merit the beginning

Generally, the release milestone is the product of the customer or investor evaluating and recognizing the deliverables of the project being met, and this is why I personally consider it to not necessarily be the end of a project, but more of an opportunity to continue to assess. Additional activities that might be appended to the project after release would likely be very similar to the beginning of the next lifecycle, leading to the next generation of the same product. Such additions may include; A new understanding of what is further needed. By determining the general vision and formulating a scope of the system and its boundaries, we can further identify stakeholders. Further identify key system functionality. This is where we will need to decide what new requirements are most critical. And determine some feasibility or possible solutions. It is important that we further asses whether or not our new vision is technically possible....
