CS 159 Honor's – Spring 2012 The requirement of two additional projects will distinguish the Honor's section from the regular offering of CS 159. A description of each project follows and students selecting the Honor's section can develop collaboratively their solution (a program developed in the C language) and all supporting materials (analysis, structure chart, flow charts, and presentation). Each collaborative group will make a presentation to serve as an understanding of the results of their efforts. Failing to complete a project to the satisfaction of the instructor by the deadline proposed will result in a reduction of one letter grade (for each unsatisfactory project) at the end of the semester. All other points and distribution of grades for the Honor's section will be the same as that in the regular offering. The projects proposed follow on pages 2 and 3 of this document. Each project represents a challenging implementation and analysis of the programming concepts introduced in CS 159 . These assignments can be completed on the order of 10-14 days and require deeper analysis and logic more complex than that found in the weekly CS 159 lab assignments and homework throughout the semester.
