How to Keep From Sinking I. Intro a. Drowning a.i. What makes the loss of air so scary? a.ii. Without God as a life preserver it is very easy for us to drown in sin, in the world, etc. b. Matthew 14:29-30 b.i. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted. c. The only way to keep from drowning is to keep your eyes on Jesus d. How we can use our eyes II. View your faith as a series of baby steps a. Philippians 1:6 6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. a.i.
