Today were going to talk about listening and doing II. James 1:19-21 a. 19My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. 21Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. b. 1 volunteer: read and try to hear what you are saying at the same time c. If someone is trying to help you learn something and you are talking, how are you ever going to learn that. i. If God is trying to talk to you and you keep on ignoring him, how are you going to hear what he wants you to hear? d. Proverbs has a couple scriptures on listening i. Proverbs 1:5 5 let the wise listen and add to their learning,
