Brianna Haynes ART 2313.252 Theatre Review #3 The Servant of Two Masters by Carlos Goldoni and Directed by Michael Costello “The Servant of Two Masters” is a comical play that is directed by Texas State’s very own Michael Costello, this play was performed at 2 pm, on Sunday, April 25, 2010 in the Theatre Building located on the Texas State campus. This play encompassed numerous subplots that create an intriguing and humorous tale that keeps the audience entertained and eager for what twist is going to happen next. I find myself looking back at this piece and analyzing the tale as a humorous adventure, for that is how it appeared to me. Throughout the entire play the lighting and sound played almost just as an important role as the actors themselves. When there was a depressing or solemn scene the music and lighting portrayed such. In times of sadness or grief the music would slow and sulk around the audience to create a mood of gloom. In harmony with the music, the lighting would darken and dim to promote feelings
