He constructed a long series of experiments that define what we now know as conditioning in terms of psychology. Pavlov was highly regarded by the Soviet government and he was able to continue his work until he was very old, unlike many other Russian researchers who were reprimanded for a lot of their chosen fields of study. When the Russian persecutions were going on, he wrote many letters disagreeing with leaders due to his well-respected status with the government. After death, Ivan Pavlov’s laboratory was preserved in Saint Petersburg as a museum....
