Math 1300 Section 2.7 Notes 1 Functions and Graphs: Definition: The graph of a function f is the set of all points ( x , y ) in the coordinate plane where the x -coordinates are the elements of the domain of f and where the y -coordinates are given by ) ( x f y = . A function can have exactly (only) one y -value, called f ( x ), per x -value. One way to test a relation to see if it is a function is by using the vertical line test . That is, a vertical line can intersect a graph of a function at most once. 1. State whether the given graph is a function.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
