Conference hours are held at CASA , 222 Garrison Gym. Textbook: Text book can be found online at math.uh.edu/Math1300. It is online and free. You do not need to print the text book. In this course you can only earn an S - Satisfactory (Your course grade is 70% or better; therefore, go onto College Algebra) or a U - Unsatisfactory (Retake course). Assignments: A student in this class is expected to complete the following assignments: 1. Course Policy Quiz – online on your CASA account – you must make 100% on the course policy quiz in order to have access to the other online assignments in the course. The answers to the quiz may be found in the “Math 13xx Course Policies” document on your instructor’s website. 2. 4 Regular Exams 3. Final Exam 4. Online Quizzes 5. Homework – Multiple choice assignments covering one section of the text each. Homework will be turned in by recording your answer choices on an EMCF form in your CASA online account. No late homework is accepted. See the Department Policies for Math 13xx for more details. 6. Poppers – in-class quizzes given daily starting the 3rd week of classes.

2 Grading: The course is a pass/fail course. Your cumulative average in the course must be 70% for you to receive an “S” A grade of "U" means that you have been unsuccessful and must repeat the course. “U” remains on your transcript forever. Daily Poppers 8% Homework 8% Quizzes 12% Test 1 – 4 12% each Final Exam 24% Total 100 Online Quizzes: Online quizzes will be given weekly in this course, starting the first week of classes. You may take each up to 20 times during the time that it’s available. Your highest score is retained as the score for that quiz.
