BUS237 Script 1 = Colin 2= Michelle 3 = Florence 4= Joey 1. So the topic that we will be presenting is the process of Crowdsourcing. The formal definition for Crowdsourcing is “the act of outsourcing tasks, traditionally performed by an employee or contractor, to an undefined, large group of people or community, a crowd, through an open call.” It basically means person 1 gives a task usually done by employees to a large group of unrelated people. 2. Some people use Web 2.0 technology to perform the act of crowdsourcing. These Web 2.0 technologies create online communities for people to share information. They are usually made so that users can use it with relative ease . This encourages them to share ideas , contribute to the solution and work together, and it is effective in crowdsourcing because it gathers experts and volunteers on the web to solve problems. 3. So you may be asking, why would people do this? It is because of how much participation that takes place at basically no costs
