Text : Hall, Robert and Marc Lieberman, Macroeconomics , 5th Edition, Thomson South-Western, 2010. Evaluation : There will be a midterm exam and a final exam. The midterm exam will be held during the class period on Monday March 5 , covering material through the end of Week 6. The final exam is scheduled by the Registrar and will cover material from the entire course. Your final course grade will be the maximum of Formulas A and B: Formula A: Final exam (55%), Midterm exam (35%), and Tutorial grade (10%) Formula B: Final exam (90%) and Tutorial grade (10%) Your tutorial grade will be based on a number of assignments. There will be no “make-up” exam scheduled for people who miss the midterm. Note that requests for extra marks will involve re-grading the entire exam. Course Outline For each week the Reading relates to that week’s lectures; you are advised to do it in advance. The Tutorial lists questions that will be discussed during the tutorial. You should work through these questions in advance of the tutorial. These questions are NOT to be handed in.
