1.) 15 pts. Consider a Cartesian co-ordinate system (x,y,z). Suppose a uniform H- field of 1 A/m exists in the direction of the x-axis. Calculate the MMF drop from the point (1,1,0) to the point (4,3,-1). 2.) 15 pts. Consider a Cartesian co-ordinate system (x,y,z). A uniform B-field of 1 T exists along the direction of the x-axis. Now consider the rectangular plane bounded by the points (2,0,0),(0,0,2),(0,2,2),(2,2,0). How much flux is traveling through the rectangular plane. 3.) 15 pts. Consider a toroid with a rectangular cross section of 1 cm by 1 cm. The mean radius is 4 cm. The permeability of the magnetic material is 3 10 4 π H/m. The permeability of free space is 7 10 4 H/m. Into this toroid, there is cut a 1 mm airgap. The toroid has two windings. The first has 100 turns of wire.
