(Lockheed Martin Corporation) Skills & Characteristics of a successful Aero/Astro Engineer-Be able to communicate and work with multidisciplinary teams-Be able to conceive, design, implement and operate systems in an enterprise and societal context (MIT) What do Aero/Astro Engineers do on a daily basis? Careers : After graduating, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineers can work in aviation, defense, space exploration even the automotive industry (Purdue University) . They can work companies like: BAE Systems INC, Dassault Falcon Jet, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc, Lockheed Martin Corporation and Rolls Royce (AIA) . Aeronautical Engineers: Responsibilities could include: Conducting wind tunnel test on an aircraft model, designing and analyzing and airplanes wing structure and testing aircraft engines (Purdue University) . Astronautical Engineers: Responsibilities could include: Designing power systems for satellites, developing communications systems, designing reusable space vehicles (Purdue University) .
