Kate ?Couric? makes 60 million dollars in four and ½ years and has become a valuable aspect to her news show. ●For the Monica Lewinski court hearing, 75 million people tuned in 2 nd only to the super bowl where over ½ of the nations sets were tuned in to view the program. ●NBC is suffering; they actually placed commercials urging people to watch more cable television. ●ABC has been aggressive by installing sighs that say, “Must See TV”. ●Nothing is sacred in this business; what ever it takes! ●There are four rating periods for network television.1 st is in February, 2 nd in May, 3 rd in July and the 4 th and final is in November. ●During May networks try to acquire their audience. Baton Rouge is considered, by the Nielsen Media people, to be DMA, SMA, and ADT ((Designated Marketed Area), (Statistical Market Area), and (ADT I don’t know yet) respectively).
