Visit the restaurants from 3 separate fast food chains. Harvey’s KFC Burger King 2. Identify and record principal duties of a food server at each. Restaurant Jack Astors Communicating with management prior to shift regarding special functions or events for the day Greeting guests, suggest features, guide guests through menu and take guests orders Communicating with management all guests concerns and handle guest concerns to the satisfaction of the guests Ensuring all food and beverage orders are entered into the POS system and conduct transactions to ensure proper payment for food and beverage orders Attending to Guests’ needs throughout the meal, ensuring guest satisfaction and promoting repeat business Ensuring guests tables are set and cleared to company standards Completing all cash-out procedures at end of shift, as well as ensuring the dining room is clean for next day operations

Frequent customer contact and high Server visibility in the dining room are to be apparent at all times. Maintain a high level of product knowledge and ensure all menu items served are prepared according to Boston Pizza's standards of excellence. Ensure that all stock on hand meets levels specified by the service supervisor and management. Responsible for enquiring about the guest’s experience in a sincere and caring manner. Where necessary involving a manager immediately if and when a negative guest experience is identified. Responsible for thanking each and every guest for their patronage in a sincere and caring manner. The cleanliness of the dining room and service areas will be a top priority.
