Office 2 Office politics, in my opinion, is something that everyone claims not to take part in, but more than likely has something to say about it. I currently work for Kforce Professional Staffing, and office politics is something I run into or hear about every day. Kforce tends to hire a younger generation and often times this is their first experience in a professional setting. This young generation conducts themselves much like teenagers in high school. Their behavior is petty, shallow and they often form cliques. Within Kforce, I work in the National Recruiting Center (NRC). The NRC has close to 300 people, with the majority of the employees under the age of 30, and is split into teams of between 3 to 15 people. These teams create competition within the department, which helps drive numbers and therefore leading to more money and success. Unfortunately, this also leads to the forming of cliques, bad mouthing fellow employees and rumors. Many of the younger employees are from Generation Y. As stated in www.about.com
