DEPRESSION PAPER 2 Depression Paper Mood disorders affect nearly 44 million Americans every year. This makes mood disorders one of the most common issues with health in the U.S. Depression is a mood disorder that has feelings of sadness and hopelessness. Bipolar and unipolar disorders are major mood disorders that I will be discussing in my paper. I will tell how depression is the main part in both of these disorders. I will show how the factors that make these disorders different also. Many adults in the world can experience an episode of unipolar depression some can be very severe this can happen at any time in their lives. One of the onsets of unipolar depression is sometimes caused by traumatic or stressful events. This can affect people on five different levels: emotional, motivational, behavioral, cognitive, and physical. Motivation symptoms cause people to lose interest in things that they usually enjoy and end up in isolation. Behavior symptoms affect people’s ability to carry out normal daily tasks.
