Stalte 1 Susan Stalte Professor Gail Froggatt Composition I 7 December 2011 Self-Evaluation Essay After carefully reviewing my writing portfolio, I found my best essay to be the Cause- Effect. I felt that this paper specifically included the best organization and development of my main ideas. My inspiration for this essay came from my experiences at the time and the message I wanted to convey to my audience. The intent of the paper was to express to readers the effects of taking on heavy academic workload. What worked best in this piece was the fact that it was written simply on personal experiences with no use of outside sources. If I could revise one piece of writing, I would choose to modify the Comparison-Contrast piece. I felt that this particular essay could use much further development. Restating my thesis to make it more clear, and bringing in additional outside sources to support my main ideas, are two changes I would make in revising this piece. As a whole, I would focus more on comparing the two topics rather than concentrating on their differences.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
